Game Crashing Problems... HELP !!!

After I beat the "Idol" and go fight that mini quick battle with the wizard, it cuts to the movie and the scene opens at Easthaven, BUT it freezes. My guys are talking becasue the game is live and there just standing around, but all commands are blacked out, and the pointer hand is up. What the heck can i do, i am about to win the game here.

This is a fairly common problem and there are multiple posts if you conduct a search. I'd imagine that they'll probably say to update the drivers of your graphics card, sound card, pacemaker etc. Also, make sure the game is patched - which depends on whether you have How/TotLM installed or just IWD.

Have a look, as you're not the first person to get caught at this annoyingly close stage.

My game has always had this problem, but in most cases re-playing the fight a couple of times gets me over the problem and on I go to the big finish. But not this time.....

My Solo Fighter/Mage has reached the point of returning to Easthaven and no matter how often I tried the game would always lock me out of the controls - my character is talking and moving, time is passing by, but the interface is greyed out. I was getting well fed up of fighting the good old Reverand Brother, so I turned to the IWD forum for help. A search soon found the answer I was looking for - save and delete the OVERRIDE folder !!! So that's what I did and sure enough I was soon on my way once more. A quick 'save and replace the Override files' should hopefully put my game back the way it was.
