My dad is in dragon's eye, and can't find the fake mandrake root. He gave the spirit its sword, which told him where the root is, then he went to where the root is, and fought the wyvern, but it isn't there. We pressed alt, and it wasn't there. We rested and still could not find it. If we need to, we could download whatever the IWDII -keeper (shadowkeeper, gatekeeper, etc.) is to get it back.

I have exactly the same problem. It's SUPPOSED to be in the bottom right corner, but I've played around with the contasts (so that ALT will show as clear as anything), I've searched throughly, not there. I didn't rest between giving the bloke his weapon and killing the wyvern (and looking for the root) either.

On my game, I killed the wyvern first, so i could actually see it appear. If you don't see it appear, does it ever appear?

I don't think anyone can fault me for using DKII for the modified mandrake root only-I have no pre dragonseye saves. My last was the battlesquares one...opps....

You can use the in-game cheat console to create the mandrake root you need. The code is: 61GENMR
And yes, this part of the game is buggy, and many players have had problems trying for the root. |

ARRGHHHH!!!
You are absolutely right, Irongrinder, I screwed up and gave the wrong code. You have the right one for the modified mandrake root. I hate when I do that |
