Hiya,

It's so cool to find this place! This is the first post I have made and predictably it's a cry for aid, I have just brought Baldur's Gate with the 'Tales of the Sword Coast' supplement. Me and my partner have both been playing it and he has got into Baldurs Gate, but we cannot find the Blade and Stars Inn where we are meant to meet the spellbound blokey.

We have the map that came with the game and we think we know where it *should* be, but all there is in that area is a building under construction. We went in there and promptly got attacked by this guy with about 10 Blink Dogs!

We have given up playing it as the character is starting to feel the effects of the poison and we cant find the Inn, there is no point in continuing until we can! If anyone can help both myself and my partner would be eternally gratefull.

Luv Gal Noren

It took me a long time to find it, and as I recall the Blade and Stars is shown on the map you have, but at the wrong place.

The In is located north east of the harbormaster. That means: think of the street next to the dock of the harbormaster; the street to the east of it that lies in the same direction contains the Blade and Stars. Facing the blade and stars is the rear side of the dock warehouses.

I hope my explanation was a bit clear ; if you still cannot find it email me, and I'll send you a map of Baldur's gate without faults in it.

upper left hand corner of the Harbor page of the Baldurs Gate Map. The Same section that has the temple to the Water Queen.

Of the above 3 responses, Saoric was technically correct, but his directions are very confusing because he started from the wrong map (eventually ending on the correct one).

The Blade and Stars Inn is located in the Northwest corner of the Southeast map section of BG City.

Trust me, I have many more posts than they do.

Yes, it is marked in the wrong location on your map--the story behind this is that Volothamp Geddarm (the guy who drew the map you get with the retail version of the game) ate at the Blade and Stars, and got lousy service there, so he deliberately misdirected anybody who might want to go there.
