I have decided to create a new sound scheme for my less than dim drow fighter. How do I do this? I thought that I could just record sounds into my cpu, but when i try and listen to the automatic sounds, it says that they are 0.00 minutes long. All this is irrevelant of course if anyone could send me a "duhh" sound scheme (like the peasants (serfs?) in warcraft II).
To send stuff to me, my e-mail is dahardyboyz@hotmail.com
thanks

Check the IWD2 readme file it's all explained in there about how to make customized sounds. As for you not being able to record sounds..make sure your using the standard windows sound recorder and check your mic ports and audio settings making sure nothing is muted.

Needed equipment:
Microphone or something that can record that you can hook to yur computer to record.
Sound recorder on the computer to record the sounds from you.
Place to save them.
Instructions.
Go to the sounds file and create a new folder (Drow_Male Female, whatever tockles your fancy)
Then record sounds and save them in there.Name the sounds like this. (Example:mysnd01,mysnd02,mysnd03 etc;etc;. Go to the sounds readme thing to learn more.

Hmmm... what I meant by no sound, is that when I click on the DEFAULT sounds, outside of the game, windows media player says that they are 0:00 seconds long, sooooo I was wondering if I needed a special format to save them in...

No you don't. It should work like that. The default sounds are recorded in a special format yes but any sounds you make and put in the Sounds folder will work, i.e. the sounds YOU record you should be able to play back and listen to both in and outside of the game but default character sounds are in a different format so can only be previewed within the game itself.
