I killed the skeleton mage at the alter in area 6. The lever seems to be locked and I can't open the box. What do I need in order to open and move this lever? It is in front of the triangle. I tried bashing but it is magically locked. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

i wrote this before in the other post, did you mean a different lever then? anyway here is the answer on howto open leevr next to skeleton mage:
the lever opens the door to next level... you need the black wolf talisman to move it... the talisman can be found on a skeleton body in the south east rooms (coordinates 572,1729)

firstly i got this game for xmas and luv it! (along with BG1, which i also love!)
the other good thing about the black wolf talisman is that it gives -1 to Ac (so u can reduce from 8 to 7 say) and gives you 10 extra hit points (which is useful on a mage).
