Yes, you get experience for it and if you play it out correctly you even get to keep the blade.

if you are evil (or just xp-hungry

) you can keep the blade - but she'll be back with some friends in the next area to reclaim her weapon.

As I recall from the item description, Emma's Moonblade can only be used by a character with good alignment. Of course, an evil party could sell it. But for this time in the game, it's quite a nice weapon.

give sword to her. but dont ask for a reward. say that it is not necessary. she will offer you moonblade as a reward.

Well I was planning to return it when I find some good weapons and so I forgot to do it when I left with the airship. No I do play a good party and I even have a Selunite priest in it so I do not want to moraly destroy the game. Do i get the chance to return it before she comes to claim it or is it a one way situation now?

If you do not return it right away (and get it as a reward), she will come looking for it in the next area of Shaengrane.

Umm, if you're in chapter 2, then you've taken the airship ride and there's no way back to Targos from there. So I guess you don't get to complete the Moonblade quest.

I put the sword on the ground then spoke to her about completing the "Kill Troll" quest, got the XP kept the sword, and went merily on my way with no problems.

What was REALLY interesting was when in HOF on the second pass, I gave it back before I even chased the Troll ... heheh [img]graemlins/biglaugh.gif[/img] .... full XP, sold second sword though .....
