what do you if you are playing solo and you are in dire need of healing(for example 18/112HP). And youre playing a ranger or monk? Even their abilities(lay on hands, spells) wont suffice. So what do you do? Sleep it out? Sleep for an 36days and8 hours. Seems a little bit unrealistic to me. Oh now i remember 1 additional question. How do you beat those red trolls you encounter on your way to the fortress in chapter 1? My lvl 10 monk(AC 26) says they are immune to my damage. I suppose too much dam. resistances and they make fun of the wizard. Fire , lightning. They just laugh. Only the magic missile seems to be the only effective means when fightning these monsters. Or is their damage resistance dependant on your enchantment weapons or is it general? If yes then how much? +2,+3? Piercing, slashing, bludgeoning? Thanks!

I never had any problems against trolls in the fortress. Simple ganging up on them, and they died.
And if you're in dire need of healing in a battle, use Spirit Essence if available, highest health-restoring potion in the game. If after battle, just rest. Why not?

Yea, no problem with resting for abnormal amounts of time in this game. If you don't want to, then find a cleric to heal you (Emma Moonblade). If you are referring to the fire trolls, then they do have a hefty resistence to bludgeoning IIRC. If you are referring to the Bargehst Whelps, then they IIRC have 5 resistence to everything.

The hardened fire trolls are vulnerable to slashing damage. I don't know if your monk can take advantage of that, but the weakness is there.
The wizard can use Skull Trap, which causes slashing damage.

If your soloing a Monk, you will need to eqiup weapons from time to time. I typically switched from Fist-->Greatsword (2 hander)-->Mace w/ fire damage-->Crossbow. The Mace mainly for trolls and anything that was vulnerable to fire. Winged Blight is a nice Greatsword for fighting humonids.
