How or when do i finally get to go to Baldurs gate in the original saga.

and also what the heck do i do with these bandit scalps?

You Have To Wait Until Chapter 5 AFTER The Cloakwood Mines. And As For The Bandit Scalps, Wander Around The South East Of Beregost (After Nashkel Mines) And A Girl Called (IIRC) Chloe Will Ask You To Come Speak To (IIRC) Officer Vai. She's In The Jovial Juggler Inn. She'll Buy Them Off You For 50gp Each.

Since this post has such a general topic. I might as well post my "question" here as well. I have all of Baldur's Gate explored and now when I need to find it most I can't remember where the blasted "Three Old Kegs" tavern is located. is it in the North, the South, the Southeast, the Northsouth, or what? I'm lost!!! help me. I want my mommy!!!!. . . . whimper...

Thalantyr at High Hedge is another market for bandit scalps, but at a lower price.

The Bartender at Feldepost's Inn is closer than Thalantyr, but he also only pays you half of what Officer Vai will. Still, Officer Vai will only be present during Chapter 3, while the Bartender and Thalantyr stick around.

The Three Old Kegs is located in BG North, east of the Duchal Palace.

Yes I want a spoiler on this one.

Where do you get the quest to find the Balduran cloak and helm? I tried searching the cloak and helm inn for the helm as I have heard rumor it was there but I found naught, so I assume you either need the quest, in a different location, or I haven't searched hard enough.

I downloaded a map of BG city, so whenever I get lost I can refer to it and find those hard to remember places. I think it came from the old Cyberjag site.

Be spoiled then.

The quest to find the helm is initiated by a mage called Delgorn (or something like that). His house is in the NW sector of the city, somewhere on the left of the bottom centre of the map.

You will need to fight some nasties before you get to speak to him, so be prepared.

In the job to obtain the helm, you will also find a cryptic note that tells you where to find the cloak too.
