well, not exactly a newbie...
I finished BG1 and BG:ToSC... im finishing BG2:SoA, then i want to finish BG2:ToB, then Icewind Dale, its expansion(s)... before NWN steps in.... ok my questions: 1)i have known that IWD has one expansion: heart of winter, but recently i heard somewhere that it has another expansion... is it correct? 2)what are XP caps in IWD and IWD:HoW? ty

You'll have to be in Heart of Fury mode to reach the really high levels, though.
