Err.. this is sort of embarrassing, since I suspect (from the lack of posts) it has a very intuitive solution. (The rest of this post cuold all be construed to be a spoiler to someone who has been to the Vale.)

My question's are: 1.) How do I find the mummy's tomb on level 1; and 2.) How do I advance to level 2 of the Black Wolf Temple (a.k.a. Kresselack's tomb)?

I have meticulously cleaned out the entire Vale, except for the cave with the golden statues in front of it (Black Wolf Temple = BWT). My party holds all 3 keys and the symbol of Myrkul (or whatever that mask thingy is called). I know, from walkthroughs, that Kresselack is on the third level of this "dungeon" (BWT, level 3). I also know, from walkthroughs, the exact layout of BWT, level 1.

I entered BWT, level 1, opened the cage door, cleaned out the room with the pedestal and twin pools, and also cleaned out all connecting rooms (1 to the SW, 1 to the SE, 2 to the W, and 2 to the E). I then opened the big north double doors and had my parlay with Mytos, before killing him and his goons. Did the same favor for Myrkul's sending, and thoroughly inspected the northern antechamber before coming back to the room just north of the double doors (where I killed Mytos). From this room, I went through the NW passage and cleaned out the skeleton army that was unleashed when I tripped the trap at the crypt.

Now, I am back at the room where I killed Mytos, and am breathing hard from all the exertion. I have the double doors and the pool/pedestal room at my back, to the S. Just ahead of me, to the N, is the room that held Myrkul's sending. To the NW is the skeleton trap passage that I cleaned out. I know that there is a passage to the NE, just like the skeleton trap passage was to the NW; and a mummy room on my right, to the E. HOWEVER, I can not find them! I have sent my thief all around with "find traps" on, and have found nothing. How do I get to the mummy's room, and the stairs to level 2?

I know this is something that I'm going to say "Oh, duh!" But I was so frustrated, I finally gave up and played Diablo for a while. Thanks to anyone who has been there and can clue me in!

Regards.

There is a passage to the rt b4 you get to Mythos, it zig-zags to the mummy room and then continues to the east of the mummy the north then south with a door to the west.
Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Let me see if I understand ....

Does the passage way you speak of start from the room just north of the double doors? In other words, do you have to open the double doors; or can you gain entrance to the passage from the pool/pedestal room?

Is the passage way entrance hidden, or am I just blind?

Regards,

The passage is to the NE in the room north of the pools $ book, the Mytos character was in the same room, you can continue north to a dead end (no pun) sorry I don't remember what the doors looked like.
If you battled a tuff mummy then look directly east of his door for a continuation of the passage ... no door so you wont be able to ALT search... it's not supposed to be hidden.

Rolper,

O.K., That's were the map says the passage entrance should be. So you, the walkthrough map and my good judgement all agree: I must be blind. I'll go back to it, maybe tonight.

(No, I have met the mummy, yet; but guess I will, soon after I find the entrance to the passage, at the NE corner of Mythos' room.)

Thanks a bunch!
