For the love of Pete :) Please help!!!

Not sure if this is a bug, or if I'm just not searching in the right spots, but here goes:

On Icewind Dale, on the Dragon's Eye part, I saved right outside the room where that Xa something or other chick with the multiple arms, snake tale and waving scimitars is. She's the one who turns into said monster after chatting with you as a small girl, and then drops the heartstone gem. Well, I killed her cronies who were surrounding her, and then cruised back out to save and heal. She didn't follow, but we definitely had not yet killed her. Anyway, when I went back in, she was nowhere to be found. I've searched throughout the entire dungeon on that level, and she's just gone. Needless to say, this puts me in a tight spot, since I was never able to loot the heartstone gem. I checked with Andariel, or whatever his name is, and he still says I need to get it, so I couldn't have looted it by accident.

Any help would be appreciated

I don't want to start from scratch.

Well friend I hope you have a save before you left to rest and heal and I'm not 100% sure but I remember reading on a board a couple weeks ago about other people who had this problem and I think they were f#&@ed. For some reason if you leave the area after encountering her but before you kill her she disappears. You do have an earlier save, right?

Last guy we advised to download dalekeeper and give himself the heartstone gem. I believe that worked for him, though am not sure.

Anyway, that's what I'd advise you try.

that's so weird! i KNOW i've done the same and not lost Yuxonemai. when i returned to the level, she was wandering somewhere in the hallway. you went over every inch of that level? even the secret room? you're sure you didn;'t kill her by accident? (check the journal)

Theres a secret room in the area before you encounter Yxomeni. (whatever?) The button to open the door is on the far wall of the torture chamber. If you have HOW installed (I hope you do HOW makes IWD 10x better) just use the alt key and you'll see a button light up. It's really not that secret with HOW.
