yesteray I fought the Oversight Sendai for the first time (somehow didn't realize that David Gaider didn't make an Improved Sendai until my current run through the game ) and here are some thoughts...

Sendai's goons are much tougher than the original drows in the game. I anticipate that Sendai will be tougher, but not her goons, especially Oversight didn't make all the drows in Sendai enclave that tough. They're almost as tough (if not tougher than) as Sendai's statues; they can tear apart Skeleton Warriors in less a round. Later, it's getting better, they cast comet. So Sendai's wizard goons must be lvl 18+ and they come in groups. Have to finish Sendai quickly, before that swarm of drow wizards show up (once they show up, shooting four comets immediately, and Jaheira died instantly).
one of the cheesiest tactics against spellcasters is to throw a green scroll at them. To prevent this cheese, Oversight gives Sendai bunch of PfMW and several Time Stop scrolls (not sure but she should also has at least one PI scroll) and also the two Fallen Devas seem to be forcesummoned. So, basically even if we throw her a green scroll, she can PfMW herself until her swarm of goons come in cometing us.

so, better fight her straight (though the forcecasted spell protection is far from *straight* itself; the so called *smarter* mages in tactics are not smart; they're just pieces of cheese protected by forcecasted spells), and we won...mostly because my Sorcerer got lucky. During a time stop, my Sorcerer cast wish; my wish was to get the party fully rest option and so we could have more firepower to go over the battle. After the time stop, the Genie showed up but that option didn't...YET, there's a better one to the situation -- grant double duration of time-stop with Improved Alacrity on. With this wish, my Sorcerer was able to take care of each of Sendai's PIs and threw a couple of Breaches (the Wands of Spell Striking version) to Sendai herself. When the time flew again, Valygar and Jaheira GWWed Sendai to give her death speech without being able to sucessfully cast any spell.

personally I think this battle is in a way tougher than all David Gaider's ToB additions/modifications; in the sense that winning this one involves more *luck* than battle strategy.

I fought her and it was a heck of a battle. (Mind you I play on Insane with Ascension,Tactics, yada, yada, yada mods)

I liked it very much. Well kind of. Before I won I spent a lot of time studying all the tactics and strategy. Then I remembered on a little thing calledetect Illusion. It ignores Spell Immunityivination so her images just went from crazy spellcasters to nothingness.

But damn I hate, hate, hate that battle. Good thing that I don˙t play BG anymore for some time now.
