two questions

Hey! This is my first time on these boards..trying not to embarass myself.

These may seem trivial but.... In the docks I think i tried killing that skin guy before he could get away... and he wont die and keeps chasing me whenever i go there.... its god-awfully annoying.... #2 whats that spell... like Ruby Ray or something... I could never find it on a scroll or learn it, but i heard about how great it was.... whats it do?

1) Do you mean he gets away from your before you kill him?

2) *ruby ray of reversal* It is like a strong dispell type of thing, i believe that it is a level 7 spell. As for where you can get it...I think i rember getting it once from the Gnomes in the underdark, other then that you would have to ask someone else.

If you're talking about the tanner, he always escapes the docks. You WILL get a chance to kill him later...

no... I guess it must be a bug, because he didnt get away.... and now he chases me throuhout the docks... I can't kill him either... he cant hurt my guys, but he also can't / won't die..

Hmmm if you have a load before you fought him for the first time upstairs? If not try the patch or there may be something else....

Have you gone down stairs to fight him...if so that is the place that he will dissapear also if you have...there is another door in his basement that leads to a little weird room where you have to kill one of his mages. If you havent been to ether of these places that could be your problem.

First thing to do when something looks like a bug: Reload.
When you talked to him, how did your conversation go? Did you accuse him of anything, or just start beating on him/pickpocket him because you felt like it?

Volothamp's Comeuppance contains all the info about the BG series that you'll ever need. Not all the info you want, just what you need. If one of those things is a description of Ruby Ray of Reversal, you'll find it in Appendix 1: Tables, in the Spell Dictionary. But I'm afraid my site is a little out of date, and even contains a few (gasp!) errors, so Xyx's Spell Reference site is better. Links to both of these fine, fine establishments can be found in the FAQ thread at the top of the forum.

Finally, someone i can help!! You mean, you like tried attacking the man, and he fought back. This happened to me to. For plot purposes, he cant die, and will chase you throughout the bridge district forever. However, there is a way to get him to leave. If you have cheats activated, move the cursor over him when you next see him, and press CTRL+Q (is that right? should be) so he turns neutral and tries to join your party. He will talk to you, and tell him you have no need of him in your party. He will leave forever. Thats what i did, and hes gone now. =D Good Luck!
