These words just randomly appeared when I was fighting people. What on earth do they mean?

you are playing a wild mage, and with a wild mage, theres a certain prosentage for a wild surge to appear. the text would seem to refer that you got hit by slow...

do you have a custom party, then? the wild mage doesnt have to be the pc...then theres the option that you are in certain wild magic room(the one with wild mage imps) within the watchers keep, and casted some spell in the room...otherwise, i have no idea why it would happen
