Keldorn is busy?

Ive done the family quest with keldorn and ive come back after he had a day with his wife (though it says a week in the journal, wrong?) and he just stands there and is busy when i try to talk to him...is this a bug or do i simply have to wait longer?

That be a bug. You should definitely be able to initiate conversation with him once he shows up.....provided of course that it really has been a full 24-hour period. Try simply Reloading, and see if Keldorn's laryngitis clears up.

And yes, the journal is indeed wrong when it says a week. But a week is an age in this game--heck, you can clear all of Chapters 4 and 5 in 2 days! There are lots of other little errors like this--for instance, when you take Keldorn back, you can tell him that you only need him until you're done rescuing Imoen--even if it's Imoen herself doing the talking.

thanks but i got it sorted out. i shut down the game and uninstalled all-strongholds mod (always a source of discord, it seems), reloaded and. voíla! there was Keldorn, back at my service!

are you running WinXP?
"NPC is busy" is a common bug with SoA/ToB+WinXP
This is fixed in the latest official BioWare patch
