Im going trough the game again. After finishing the game with a multiplayer party and a singleplayer party with npc's all being good I wanna go the evil way.
So I was thinking on what NPC I would pick up.
Theres only 3 evil NPC in the game which is Korgan, Viciona and Edwin
These will be a must,
Korgan is a good fighter, Viciona is the cleric and Edwin takes care of the fireworks.
Then theres two Chaotic Neutral NPC's which is Jan and Haer'Dalis.
Jan is a thief/mule and Hard'dalis is a Blade or another fighter.
Then since Jan is a spellcaster as well I thought I should be a fighter.
I want to try out an half orcish barbarian
I should keep my party rep at 6, cuz then Haer'Dalis and Jan will be neutral and the rest will be happy. Anything below or above that will make my NPCs unhappy/neutral.

My question is then, is Haer'Dalis worth picking up?
What weapon profencies do Korgan got? I wanna know what I should equip him with.
I thought I'd equip myself with Crom Fayer and Celestial fury
and give silver sword + shield to korgan and wave to Haer'Dalis, but im unsure of their weapon profeinces.

Another thing I had in mind was to go with only evil characters and drop Jan and Haer'Dalis completely for maximum evil enjoyment.

And another question on how to play evil. You get lots of quests all the time, and most of them is about helping others. So obviously theres allot quest you cannot do right? I guess you could still kill firkraag and loot the treasures, just make sure you kill Garrens child and then bring the corpse to Garren, then kill his wife infront of him and afterwards you sacrifice garren to a pit fiend or something.

1. I suggest that you leave Haer'Dalis be, and go with the 5 you have now. The spare place can be used to quest NPCs. Keep Jan, though, you always need a Thief.

2. Korgan:
* War Hammer
**** Axe

3. Some of the quests have an evil way of doing it, but that is only a few. You can do all the quests, even the ones where you have to be a hero, because there is only a few of them which rises your reputation. And it is always easy to get it down again...

If you're playing evil, be sure to get Valen.
Valen is a multiclassed Fighter/Thief of a... unique... race.
Keep in mind, though, that Valen is as evil as BG2 gets. She makes all the other Evil NPCs look like Mazzy and Keldorn in comparison.

Oh, and don't forget to unequip her claws if you're intersted in some challenge. They are waaaay too powerful.

i played through on an evil party just like yours and my character dual wielded cromfaer and celestial fury which rocks ass, dont bother with the neutrals apart from yoshimo as jan is lame as a thief, use the trick to keep yoshimo and your set, oh and one more thing to do which is fun- build up your reputation as high as you can without letting people leave so as

spoiler*spoiler

you can use the slayer ability often when you get it

Ok forget bout Haerdalis then. and Jan...Im gonna add Valen instead =) an evil thief, exactly what I was looking for =)

Another question, when youre party rep is 0...is the game still playable? Or do you have to beef up your rep a bit... since all npc will be hostile I guess you cannot do quest and wont benefit the exp/item rewards. Thoug I guess you get some exp from cowled wizards/knights attacking you constantly anyway, and all the areas should be open for you to rob for treasures and monsters exp, cept for areas locked away rooms which you get from certian NPCs...
That would be fun, slay the whole Faerūn...haha yes

Your reputation cannot be lower than 1.

And yes, slaying the whole of Amn IS fun...

You've tried? I admire your guts.
Myself, I have still to expand my evil empire to outside Athkatla.
I remember my Dwarven Berserker, the Chaotic Evil Gyrman the Wicked. None stood a chance, and in a few hours (game time), the whole bloody city was wiped out. He didn't accomplish it all by hiself, though, he was much helped by his companion, Scyforth the Sorcerer.
God, that was fun.
