1) Do you ever play the game the way that you only sleep when you characters are asking for it? Say, you play for 16 GH and hang on with the spells you have, and sleep when they (or him/her) start complaining about getting tired. I mean, you don´t sleep 8 hours every 2 hours in real life either.. I´ve found the game much more challenging that way, although frustrating.

2) Do you think the game is well balanced? I often run into guests which are meant for characters of five levels higher. (ie. Stone Golems at Docks, not easy with level 9 and below party)

3) How would you do, or what tactic would you use, without fllowing spells: Haste, Web, Fireball, Cloudkill. I only ask because many powergamers use them, ie, Haste is too powerful, should be 5-6th level spell instead of 3rd.

Try NONE at all. Granted, you need a high level Mage to achieve this, but once you attain that high level, sleep becomes an oddity. Other than that, it depends on how badly injured my party is. I do not rest if they are still capable of pushing on.

Well balanced in my opinion. There is always a weak point in the enemy's defense.

I do not use Fireball and Cloudkill already( they suck). Haste is nice but expendable( plus it induces fatigue too). The loss of Web may hurt in the beginning, but at higher levels, it is missable. These are not true powergamer spells.

Heck... try living without the following spells, Mirror Image, Stoneskins, Ruby Ray of Reversal and Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting. Trust me, you will miss them more than the examples you listed.

For me, in ToB: I could not go without my mord's swords, planetars, ADWH (mentioned already, i know ) and dragon breaths. I *do* go without haste (improved's better and several items grant that anyway)

Pfft! I can live without Ruby Ray of Reversal anytime, anyhow.

If I can go on I go on but if I used all my spells and everybody is wounded I rest.

Yes like dundee said. Do you mean the golems you have to kill in Edwin's quest to kill the wizard? I did with Kelsey lvl 9, but he couldn't damage anything and my dualclass fighter/thief level 9/8 so it was sorta solo It took a few reloads though, shame I couldn't kill the wizzie on the attic

The only spell of these I use sometimes now is fireball to kill of groups of low level summons beasts (when I'm already in a fight not walk to where they can't see you but you can hit them) I use stoneskin melf's acid arrows and meteors magic missile many times but I'm lvl 10 (kelsey and fighter/thief) The only thin I can't really beat is improved Torgal, I'll go back when I can cast lower resistance and the mage you have to kill for Edwin (stupid confusion or fear like effect)

I seee..

One more thing that I came up with, does taking Viconia to your party cause havoc with Aerie or Nalia to the point when a romance is destroyed or someone´s leaving?

of course Viconia will (eventually) get rid of Aerie (if you choose Vico over Aerie) but she's got no problems with Nalia.

Just wanted that to be confirmed. Game´s logic isn´t always too sharp.

Question Mark

Ah, but what happens with the Nalia romance and Viconia, Kat?

Don't worry, I have no idea whatsoever either!

For me, I sleep whenever I am out of spells, my party's about to die of wounds, or when someone is fatigued, and usually its because of spells.
