Help! I'm stuck...

i went to the bridge district, open a door next to the one where the lich is. when i enter the door, something happen and i like ported to a room. inside there a mage talk to me for a while then start attacking me. after i won the fight, the leader drop nothing but a few K of gold, another mage drop a staff not so bad. nothing else in that room except for a weird machine and a pot with some liquid in it that show some messages. i cant activate the machine, its been hold by some sort of magic. i cant go out of that room. there is a stair case but cant use it, the mouse cursor wont change to the one to zone out type. how do i get out of there and what is that room for?

You fought the Twisted Rune, and won? Good job!

Now, as Bruce said, you must use the Beholder's Eye to get out. You find it in the Beholder's loot.
Take the eye, and put it in the cauldron. Then, click on the weird machine to get out.

What I find amusing is that he blundered blindly into the fight and won, when other people ask for directions and get fried.

Oh, and the "not so bad" comment just cracks me up.

thanks for the help guys, i didnt see the rune under the behold's corpse. won by luck. Is there any other thing important for that room?

The Twisted Rune is part of an incomplete quest, but not removed from the game. Essentially, it is just a bonus fight. There is only one real reason to fight the Twisted Rune.

Staff of Magi +5

The best equipment for a Mage character.

Where exactly is the building with the twisted tuins in it. I've searched the whole bridge district and I still cant find it. Somebody please relieve me of more hours of search!
