Invokers worst mage class (whateva)

I heard invoker is worst of all mage specilaties is this true in your opinion?

Most specialists are restricted from one spell school which is in opposition to theirs.

Conjurer's probably the best; Divination is blah. Only identify is useful, and you find plenty enough scrolls for that.

Invoker is the only specialist school that restricts you from TWO whole schools. Yep. It's crap.

Personally I think that a Diviner isnt THAT bad... It is IMO MUCH better than an Enchanter (The only other Elven Mage specialilty

) anyway the Enchanter is the Worst out of all... because it restricts from both Invocation.. AND Evocation both of which have some very powerful spells in that class. And IIRC Invokers dont have 2 class penalty but Enchanters do.. IIRC.

Divination is baaaaaaad. IMO the worst out of them all, while the Conjurer is the best.
Invokers arent exactly the best either, but not as bad as diviners, by far. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Think of the first thing that an enemy mage does after protections which are contigencies.He casts mislead or simulacrum or even project image.All those annoying spells can be dispelled instantly by true sight.
There is NO bad mage school.

Invocation/Evocation is ONE school not two.Same as Illusion/Phantasm and Enchantment/Charm

In BG rules the best bet for a specialist is IMHO the Necromancer.Admitedly he can't use illusions but with a full party Illusions are not REALLY important.Also you don't need to be evil for the Necromancer.A good alignment is possible but I would say that most non evil Necromancers are Neutral combination
As for the Invoker both in BG and in ADD is one of the most powerfull specialists along the conjurer.I would rate him 2 after the Necromancer
