I have tried all the types of warriors and so far i have found out that for me the best so far has been the barbarian. The only thing is i dont know is what specialisation means, because it says that barbarians cannot go past normal specialisation

It means that you can not get bonus specialization for a particular weapon. When you get high enough in levels and you try to add an extra proficiency point to say short swords, it may not allow you to add the extra point there if you all ready have two there. A normal fighter would be able to place up to five profiency points in a particular weapon.

does that mean a barbarian will never be able to gain more proficient slots or does it mean a barbarian will only get two slots in one style or weapon

They'll still get a proficiency slot every 3 levels like any warrior type, but they can only put 2 slots in a weapon (like rangers and paladins). They can't put five slots like a fighter can. Thus, you miss out on grandmastery of one or two weapons, but instead get to have more variety of weapons at middling skill (just like rangers and paladins).
