Ok here's an idea -
If you in real life were a BG Character what would you be and what stats would you have - based on you as a person. Heres me Str : 12 - Not the biggest or strongest person you'll ever meet. Dex: 17 - Pretty swift and agile - though i'm getting older Con: 16 - Can drink like a fish - I'm Irish Int: 18 - I'd like to think 6 years of uni helps me here wis: 15 - Stil have abit to learn about life though Char: 17 - A bit of a charmer in me This I believe would make me a mage/thief - as its how i'd like to think of me, therefore would have to be a half - elf too. Let me know who you Are

Str: 15 - I've trained myself in using a real sword
Dex: 16 - I can turn well enough Con: 17 - get over colds rather quickly Int: 15 - I get by Wis: 15 - have the experience to know that I get by Char: 14 - can be polite when need be I don't know what that makes me as far as a character class, but the race would probably be elf if I had to choose. |

Using this site as a guideline:
http://www.rpga.org/Articles/RLStats.html and being as honest as possible here... str 11 dex 13 con 14 int 12 wis 14 cha 08 ------ mean = 12 So I am above average in most things, but a little lacking in Charisma As for what class I'd be, I would be a Halfling Cleric of course! Using the site guidelines so thoughtfully posted by Darkman--and being as honest as possible :
Str: 14/15 Dex: 13 Con: 15/16 (those pesky wasp allergies! otherwise *extremely* hardy) Int: 17 (yes, I *am* eligible for Mensa and had college ![]() Wis: 17 Cha: 16 Overall, much better than I'd probably roll for myself ![]() Yikes! Does that mean games have bled over into rl or rl blurred into virtual reality?!?!?

Suddenly I'm glad I can use dice for my character
STR 10 (low average) DEX 11 (not too shabby) CON 13 (not dead yet) INT 15 (not _quite_ genius) WIS 7 (on my g/f's advice!) CHR 14 (at least I got a girlfriend) must make me some of specialist mage... |

I love these type of flights of fancy. I remember my buddies and I doing this as a kid all the time! That website mentioned above I think did a nice job, since we tend to overstate our abilities in real life. Here is what I came up with after I took the "test"...
Str: 8 Dex: 15 Con: 10 Int: 14 Wis: 14 Cha: 18 I think it is important to remember that stats don't say everything. My dex is high because of ambidexterity, so that would be a proficiency. My charisma is high because of 6 years in the resort business. You learn to make everyone love you. As a kid it would have been more like 13 or 14. I might have a proficiency like

my proficiency identifiers were read as code attempts. oops. I was saying that I should have a banter or bullsh** proficiency to highlight the charisma!

Interesting that no one is ever mostly average in everything! By definition 75% of us should all be 10-11 in everything. But anyway, going from the link that Darkman provided:
Stength 16 I'm early middle aged and stopped working out several years ago. Yet I'm almost certain that I could still cleanly press around 195 over my head--at least one rep, I've little doubt. It is doing it for multiple reps that would get tough. Dex 16 I have well developed, realistic drawing skills; although I no longer play, at one time I played some extremely sophisticated chord melodies for jazz standards on the guitar (I used to teach also); I did learn to juggle in my 20's via an excellent book and could easily juggle 3 in the standard patterns, eg, reverse cascade, etc. I didn't continue with juggling to master 4 but I have no doubt I would have gotten that without much trouble. Con 13 I virtually never get sick, but since I am completely sedentary and don't work out anymore my wind probably ain't that great. When I was in my late 20's I used to run 5 miles (and smoked about 3 packs of cigarettes a day, which didn't seem to affect my wind at all, really). On the other hand, I'm positive that I could currently push my body to run at least one mile. Once your body has been very fit it sort of remembers how to do everything it was formerly trained to do, it's just a matter of getting it back into shape. Anyway, I'd put my Con at high average. Int 17 This I know from my Stanford-Binet IQ scores both as a child and an adult. I have to admit that immersion in CRPGing over the last year has however had an appreciable dulling effect. It's just so much fun, though. Wis 15 I am unambitious and tend to be lazy, and I have more or less concluded that allowing myself to muddle about with those traits constitutes poor judgment. That is, if I were truly wise I would have pushed myself harder earlier in life (and even now) and would probably have a much more interesting life, both career-wise and re: the financial freedom to travel and explore. On the other hand, who is perfect? And in terms of understanding human nature, insight into the typical blindspots people have, politics, etc., I think I can honestly rate myself well above average. I feel the bottom line for wisdom is acceptance of what one does not know (and in some cases cannot humanly know), and having a genuine openness to see what is actually so--i.e, the ability to put one's own personal idiosyncracies, identifications, affinities, ticks, etc., in the backseat as you study an issue or a problem. I'm generally able to do that pretty well. Cha 10 I do not have the sort of 'star quality' that makes people instantly likeable, popular, the center of attention, etc. I am shy and introverted. I'm sort of an intellectualizer, and tend to be reserved and serious. It is the folks who really enjoy social interaction and have a great wit, etc., that are the ones who get the most positive automatic responses from others. However I'm a reasonably attractive person and I have a strong command of the language, which tends to boost how people regard someone. It is on that basis that I don't give myself a 9, actually. So if I was magically transported to the universe of Baldur's Gate?... I would be choose to be a mage without a doubt. I would not specialize because I would not want to be limited in what I could learn and master. If I had grown up in such a universe I would likely have been a fighter who dualed to mage. Alignment-wise I'm NG so I would not be a thief. [ 02-20-2002: Message edited by: Lemernis ]

Ok, being honest as possible:and following the rules!
Strength: 14/15/16 I'm not sure about this, I am 17yrs old, and could defo improve if I wanted: Never lost a fight in my skool days, and I put someone in plastic surgery with one punch (his tooth went through his lip- and no, I'm not that proud, although it was with my left hand and I;m right handed...hehe ) Dexterity: 18/19 Extremely nimble and fast. One of the quickest in my school, and I play right wing in football (soccer). The wingers are the quickest people on the field (usually), and can outpace almost everyone. I can catch any ball. I also roller blade, which I am ok at. I'm also an expert pickpocket ![]() Constitution: 12 Not a strong point for me, I get sore throats often, and have had my tonsils removed. Dunno about the "glass jaw", I've never hit the deck in a fight, but I put that down to the other punches not being good, not being me strong. Int: 17/18 (dint use guidlines for this) - Very inteligent. Passed school with great grades, now studying A-levels at college (hardest qualification in the world to get). Can learn anything really, pick up everything really quickly. Wisdom: 7 Too young to be Wise. Forget this and that, make stupid mistakes, and usually end up injuring myself in the process. Less said the better about me being wise! Charisma: 18 The guidlines say so. Didnt lose a point, gained everyone. Used to be a huge player of the ladies, still get called a charmer. In fact, everyone knows I'm the greatest lady charmer in my area: Definately my best stat, as I can talk to anyone, get anyone to go out with me, and I have had people confide in me, fight over me, all sorts. Expert in arguing also: Only thing is, my best mate is also very good at arguments, so it is funny!! I couldnt improve this if I tried, I never get embarressed, no matter what says/happened. I feed off attention, and I love being in the spotlight!
