I have read lots of reviews on this game and was thinking about purchasing it but wanted to ask a question before I did so. Is this game multiplayer or single player. I don't want to get into a deal like Everquest where it costs me money every month to play it and I don't want to have to have others to play it.

Nup.... Dont cost no money once u got it.... Its singleplayer and u can play with Otha ppl in Multiplayer if ya want

Welcome to the board. I'm a week old playing this game. I still have an active EQ account and I'm sure guildies there are wondering but I told em I was getting this game. So they know.
You control the shots and once you pay for it, it's a game you can play by yourself for hours upon hours. There was a "free" program site where you could play with others but I haven't tried it yet. I don't want to run thru the same game makeup with a bunch of other ppl just to put it plainly. Now if they had a DM who could set up different campaignes with different maps then it would be something I would be in. I am thinking neverwinter nights is gonna be like that. Anyways, BUY THE GAME. You won't regret it... if you ever get stumped, this is the place to come to. buy it, =) PeeWee

ITs just a free direct connection to other computers to play multiplayer, or you can play multiplayer by yourself. Its like playing Icewind Dale (BG/BG2 but without NPCs, you make your entire party from scratch). Or you can play with NPCs. And its all for free! Except your usual internet connection fee which you would be paying now.
