AFAIK, the monk gets immunity only to spells such as slow and haste. He has fast movement to make up for this.

Monks actually get immunity to Poison and slow, all saving throws are increased greatly (Brtter than any other class) Also later on the begin to get magic resistance (I cant remember exactly how much but I think it is + 5% every odd level)

As for Special abilities the have Stunning blow (Paralyse enemy)
Quivering palm (Kill Enemy outright) I managed the kill the Silver Dragon Outright with this ability although I had to cast greater malison first.
They also have 4+ fists doing D20 damage and very fast movement rate as well the downside is that to start with they are crap but by the end of the game when they have all there abilities they are excellent

Oh yes did I mention I killed the Silver Dragon in one punch?

Funny, I didnt use the quivering palm thing that much, mostly when I tried it didnt work, but there you go. The magic resistance was heavan though.

You do know that you can call up a kit description from the character generation screen, dont you?

to summarize - some very nice immunities (to poison and charm), d20+4 damage on the fists by lvl 25, movement like you have boots of speed, cannot be slowed, and you get awesome natural ac (eventauly) and magic resistance (again eventualy).

Their Natural AC can be greatly improved. By giving them maximum in Dex. When my human monk had 18 dex, he had a -1 Natural AC when still in Irenicus Dungeon.

the natural AC gets to a point where it's like a full platemail +2 or something

not all the characters have a decription of what happens when they get to higher levels, so how do you get the kit description for them

There is no downside to useing quivering palm that I know of, the worst thing about it is that all the enemies seem to save against it thats why I cast lower reistance and greater malison first.

As for Kit descriptions go to the character sheet and then Biography at the bottom of the page there should be a button named kit description click on it.
