Creating Portraits

Has anyone else out there created their own custom portrait using the ones that already come with the game? I've made 2 pictures by taking bits and pieces from other NPC portraits, but I lost one of them. Wish I knew how to post a picture in here so I could show the one I have.

You're saying you pieced together a portrait by combining various elements of the different NPC portraits with an application like Adobe Photoshop? I'd wager you're the only one that has (never heard of anyone else doing that, anyway), but it would certainly be interesting to see.

I know of at least one pic that's cobbled together from BG1 NPC pics: Someone started with the pic of the young-ish, blonde male knight in armor (the pic that Canderous gets), and added Edwin's hood over the guy's head and tucked in under his armor. Then they made the hood and armor black, gave him a cool greying beard, and gave his eyes an oh-so-Evil yellow glow! It's fabulous! I'm using it right now on my uber-munchkin Neutral Evil Cleric/Mage (stats 5/18/18/18/18/18). Yep, I'm finally playing an Evil game.

Canderous is one of the 'Illusionary' NPCs that join you in Candlekeep--there's a trick (not exactly a cheat) to take them with you when you leave. Canderous is, in my opinion, the best Cleric in the game: His stats are 16/13/13/12/18/14, as opposed to Branwen's 13/16/15/9/16/13. So slap the Gauntlets of DEX on him and you've got a great backup Tank--not as many HP as Branwen, but at least he doesn't complain about your Rep. of 20.

And don't worry, I know all the ins and outs of uploading stuff to servers--when I said "I'll upload it tomorrow, if I have time," I meant, "I'll upload it as soon as I have time to go over to my school and use their Internet access to do so." Which is today.

The pictures are bitmaps, which means the page will take a little longer to load, but you'll be able to save them right to your Portraits directory without having to unzip or convert, etc.
