Level problems

I hope this one ain't been asked before, but I have a problem with levelling in TOB. At present one of my party members is a 39th level cleric and she has neough XP's to level up. However, as soon as I do just that, she goes to level 41 and looses all spells (not only memorized but known spells as well) and it says next level -1. How come and what to do about it? Hope there's someone who can help me.

I have no idea whats happening... Thats really odd.

What should happen is that you would go to level 40 and the next level listed would be godhood or something like that. I checked out the BlackIsle troubleshooting forum for you and found nothing like this problem listed.

Are you using a character editor at all???

I got that one too!
Although I just figured it was because of the XP cap remover I downloaded, so I re-installed, and it worked [img]smile.gif[/img]

Certain XP-cap removers remove only the cap and do not fix the leveling code, which was never meant to go beyond 40. (i do belive that 40 is the maximum in PnP). theres a "safe" one from baldurdash. somebody who knows the URL can post it.

Thanks guys for helping solve this problem.
Micah Foehammer, Sir ReGiN, you were right about the cap-remover. I did a new install of the game and it worked without problems. I had already completed BG2 SoA and imported my characters from the final saved game into a new game when I started ToB.
Andrewas and Mitro Jellywadder, thanks to for pointing me the way to the Baldurdash. I'll try that one and hope it'll work.
