Do you like them?
Which are your favourites? Do you sell them? Do you always accumulate WAY too many of them? i) IMPO, I think they are ok.Most I dont ever use, some I use whenever I can! I don't use that many of them. Some of them are needed, like potion and antidote. ii)Potion of Power, Potion of Perception, Potion of Master Theivery. Any potions that improve your strength(i.e - frost giant). Also, potion and antidote. iii)I never really sell them, so I guess I do go through them without realising it! iv)I always have too many potions, so much so, that alot of the time, not one of my 6 characters has any space. Any gap is usually filled with a potion. And that is with TOTSC and stack enabled!!! Your thoughts,

I find potions generally useless. The only good ones are potions of cloud giant strength and potions of magic blocking. These two are essential throughout the game - but honestly, the potions you sometimes pick up... I'd be interested in knowing whether anyone has actually ever used a potion of infravision, for example

I have a potion of infravision, its purple aint it! Yep, thats totally useless. But alot of potions do come in useful in the end, when u least expect it. They CAN turn a fight!

I always have a good stock of potions that will never get used.
Apart from the strength increase/master thievery ones the only one I ever use is mirrored eyes - Khalid can easliy clear the basilisk area single-handedly with a couple of those. The rest I always keep in reserve, for the rainy day that never comes. |

In the beginning I use healing potions very often, but later in the game I almost never use them again, only sometimes in Durlags Tower. Otherwise I use the thievery potions and in critical fights the giant strenght potions and occasionally the oil of speed, because it lasts longer than haste.
And once in the Firewine dungeon I used some protective Potion, thus I was almost not to hit by the kobolds. But the rest I carry around with me and they just take up space. |

I've got to agree with you guys - I always keep loads of potions and never get round to using them. My inventory is always clogged up with rubbish - I can't bring myself to get rid of it. Most of the potions duplicate spells and I love using magic.

Just as you. I always have all the slots in inventory filled with potions. I dont give much care what kind it is, I always pick all of them. But on the other hand from time to time, when i really badly need some free space in Inv. i drink them in great quantities, just for fun what it does with my chars
I dont use them before the fights, i always forget that some of them can pretty much change the gameplay. So, I think iv) is pretty much what i do with pototions.

The trick is, not to save them for "that rainy day". It is harder than it sounds, but use them when you can!!! There are always more to pick up!! So use them potions in every big fight! They can only help right?
