Aerie vs. Viconia in TOB

Should I keep Aerie (as my only cleric) or Viconia. Viconia is not that good in melee (low constitution) and doesn't have Aerie's mage spells. Also, due to the new experience cap, won't Aerie just keep getting better and better?? Your thoughts appreciated.

aerie is more than capable. her mage spells make up for the lack of level seven cleric spells, as those like lower resistance are more valuable anyway. there are more potions of healing than you can use.. and you simply cant beat a good cleric turning undead to goo rather than into summoned creatures for your use for a few rounds.

of course, remember that devas also have plenty of heal spells to supplement her, and planetars too, which appear slightly better.

Stick with Voconia. If you already have a mage in your party ditch Aerie. She levels up much much more slowly than Voconia does. Also Voconia will be a better healer, and you fix her strength with some gauntlets of dexterity. I believe there is some way to fix her constitution, but i've forgotten what it was. If you don't have a mage keep Aerie. You'll need her.

Viconia may not be that good in melee, but she's gonna be alot better than Aerie in that department.

Aerie has mage spells, sure, but Viconia has an INSANE amount of clerical power behind her. If you're gonna have one cleric and one cleric only I'd go with Viconia.

Aerie is kind of a throw-away, she is good at the begining but thens has to go.....

Viconia is so much better than Aerie. My Viconia dual-wields Crom Fayer and Runehammer +5. Aerie could never have done that.

Aerie kicks bottom
once she has 8 million exp behind her she is a total freak powerhouse
chaincontingency + cleric spells = nuts

and timestop...you can heal anyone from certain death

cleric spells aren's all that important to me so Aerie was really all the cleric I needed. specially since she got a second Holy Symbol of Lathander after I raised her at the temple of Amanautor

(I only played with my character and Aerie so she allready reached the xcap by the time I went after Bodhi). that gave her 5 lvl 7 cleric spells and 9 lvl 6 spells, what more do you need? plus she gets all the cool mage spells.
as for combat abilities - their THAC0 is the same while Vic's AC is better by 1 because of higher dexterity. also Viconia does have twice the HP of Aerie, but this can be more than made up for with defensive mage spells Aerie can use - Stoneskin, Protection From Magical Weapons, Fire Shield, Mislead...
so to sum it up - Aerie can be just as effective in melee combat as Viconia, she has almost the cleric abilities of Viconia (although she does gain them slower being multi-class) and she gets to play with mage spells on top of all that. I'd take Aerie.

but aeries got spells to make her immune to magic
