Sorry to clog the TOB forum with this one but....
I've been downloading some of the custom stuff, no problems with that, only this is, none of the items have descriptions. Is this something I'm doing wrong or is it due to lazy customizers who cant be bothered to put in descrips? |

Whoever uploaded them didn't do it properly. They need to be .tbg or .iap files to retain the descriptions. If they are just .itm files that means they won't deploy properly. All the item text in the game is located in the dialog.tlk file and if your items didn't come in .tbg or .iap format then they won't have any descriptions (even though the makers probably created some).
Whose site are you downloading them from? ------------------

Which sites...can't be specific, I pretty much spent an afternoon at work raping various sites through the Team BG website. I thought most of them were in Iap format...it's probs just my legendary luck that everyone I tried to CLUA in game were probs just basic item files.

How did you get them into your game? Did you use the Infinity Add-On Patcher found in IEEP?
Something must have happened to your dialog.tlk file then. ------------------
