I'm a freak when it comes to getting the best stats so I roll for hours. What's the best total stats that you guys have rolled? Mine was 97.
Does race or class play a part in this anyone knows? |

Race does contribute as to how many points you can have in certain stats i.e. elves can have 19 dex but only 17 con
For some classes (Ranger and Paladin spring to mind) it's easier to get high rolls because of the high stats they need in the first place My highest roll was 95 for a Paladin but I've just started again and decided to take the first roll that came up (78) to give me a bit more of a challange rather than up the difficulty slider.

Yes, race and class does play a part. When you are rolling stats, if you click on each attribute it will tell you the minimum requirement you character has to have in the stat (ie. minimum roll). The higher the minimum roll, the better chance you have to roll a high number in that stat. Mages have to have 9 INT, Rangers need 14 WIS, Elves can't have less than 8 CHA, and so on.
I'll just go ahead and tell you that Human Paladins and Half-Elf Rangers have the easiest time rolling high stats all across the board. However, if you are so obsessed with having high stats, you could just save yourself the time rolling incessantly and use GateKeeper to boost your stats to an appropriately high level...

I think mine was 96/97 as well. That was for a Palladin. What is the highest possible roll btw?

The 97 total I rolled was for a half-elf multi-class figher/thief. I like high stats, but am not going to choose a class I'm not intersted in playing just to get it. I also want to roll for stats legitimately, i.e. within the limits of the game, but thanks Darkman. I was just wondering if it would be possible to get a higher total, that's all. I'm now starting a human figher, so hopefully I can get as high.

There was a thread on this a week or so ago. It's probably on page 2 or 3... Several people claimed to have rolls as high as 103!
