I'd just like to mention, that against all odds, I beat the game solo on my first try through. Never played the game past chapter 2, but I managed to beat it with a kensai/mage the very first time through! Everyone said that there was no way you could do it without beating with a regular party first! I did it! Alright, thanks for letting me have my moment of happines.

I hope you had fun playing through the game. Do you have Throne of Bhaal? If not, try and get it and complete the 'whole' thing.

I've only completed SoA once myself too. I am currently working on a couple of solo games plus about 3 more with parties of different alignments and makeup.

My solo bard has managed to complete several quests (including the Unseeing Eye) and has even killed his first dragon (Shadow Dragon), but he still has a looong way to go.

although my happiness for you is tinged with sadness that yet another adventurer has succumbed to the siren call of soloing - tempted along the easy path of god-like XP gain and minimal inventory management . . . .

NRP games are the real challenge..

I think soloing is extremely challenging, doubly-so if you install something like Tactics and avoid cheese. If it wasn't, people wouldn't do it...
