Anomen update

Explain this one please. Anomen was killed inside the planar sphere. I attempted to bring him back with a 'Harper's Call' spell by Jaheira to no avail. I consulted here at the forum and a few of you said that, a 'Raise Dead' or 'Resurrect' spell is much stronger and should work. I have since been to 2 Temples of Ilmater and when I look at their 'healing menu' (?) suddenly Anomen's grayed-out face on the right-hand side of the screen is not visible and I can't even request to have him 'raised' or 'resurrected'. Is this because Anomen is of a different temple and therefore they won't heal him? What should I do to get him back? My magic users at this point are only Jaheira and Nalia and they aren't capable of raising him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For some reason, the game thinks that Anomen was killed in such a way that your in-party spellcasters are unable to Raise him, even though his picture is still in the party. Anomen's picture disappears in the Temple because the game thinks that he isn't in the building (this happens with all stores & Temples if the party is separated).

This "way" in which Anomen was killed may have been that, as you said, he was taken down to exactly -1 hitpoints, and the games doesn't know what to do with him. If killing blow (or other damage) takes them down to less than -10 hp, it's game over for them: They took so much damage that they were essentially dismembered, beyond any magic to restore them to life. If they only got knocked down to somewhere between -9 and 0, they can be brought back. But, perhaps, the game gets confused at -10.

Hit Ctrl-Space to bring up the cheat window, and type
CLUAConsole:CreateItem("rods03")
into it. Make sure it's EXACTLY as you see it above. Identify that sucker, use it on Anomen, and throw it away. If it doesn't work, then you've lost Anomen for good. Boot him from the party and get a substitute, because he was killed beyond resurrection.

Or, you can go for the cheesy tactic. You check out what the cost is for a ressurection spell, lets say, 1000 gp.

Now, Spend 1000 Gp on items you dont need, then throw them away. So now you have lost 1000 gold, the (presumed) same cost at the res spell. Now, put the mouse pointer over Anomen´s grayed out portrait, hold Ctrl - R . That SHOULD raise him, so now you have simulated a raise spell. And i dont think its really THAT cheesy, since it was the game that messed it up, not you.

I was getting sick of him anyway. I'll probably just ditch him. I'm just pissed because he owed me some GP!
