"The Darkest Day" mod

What's the storyline with this mod? I just want a basic overview. My buddy told me that Yeslick is available in this mod, so I'm interested!

It adds a handful of new quests and NPCs to the game; I think there is a large plot later on but truth be told I don't know it all. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I'd not recommend it; it has been very buggy in the past (though may have been improved now), is not well-written, is grammatically poor and the items, spells and kits are by and large overpowered. The NPCs are included but have little dialogue.

It also has compatability problems with other mods, you have to be careful what you use with it.

It's not supported anywhere by itself at the moment; however it is supported as part of the Big Picture mod at Forgotten Wars. Try the Completed Mods section of http://forums.forgottenwars.net if you want to try it. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I tried it, but it was really buggy. The quests didn't make much sense to me, so I took it out after about an hour of trying to work with it. It was a good idea, but the result wasn't all that good.

Is there any non-buggy mods that add BGI npcs?

There are two BGI npcs here, but I'm not sure how much they add. Xan and Kivan are the two they have. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Xan does not add much; Kivan has a lot more content. I believe Alora is also in development over at Chosen of Mystra, and alternative Kivans in development can be found at Black Sheep or Forgotten Wars.

Given that nobody (well, apart from Midget Gems) ever used Alora, should she even count as a BG1 NPC?
