Something strange has happened.

I'm up to chapter 5 of SoA, and I've just realised that I can equip Aerie (cleric/mage) with not only any kind of helmet, but chainmail/splint/plate armour as well, provided it doesn't require more than her strength rating! It specifies in the descriptions of these items: 'Not useable by: mage, theif' etc. But still, as a cleric/mage, she is able to wear them?

This is not my first time playing SoA, and I'm wondering if its something to do with me having Throne of Bhaal installed, plus the 'Baldurdash' fixpack? Should she be able to equip these items or is this a bug (albeit a useful one...)

Secondly, on the same topic, I've noticed that *everyone* in my party (including my main character, a paladin-inquisitor) can equip the 'amulet of power', which I swear I could only use on jaheira/aerie/imoen in my last game (from what I remember). It states its 'not useable by: fighters', so is it normal that a paladin, AND a ranger (minsc) can wear it too? Strange

Let me know if this is a bug. It only seems to be for certain items, though.

Tanith.

Aerie can wear armor because of her cleric class. However, notice how her mage spells are rendered ineffective as long as you wear armor.

In an unmodded, unBldurdashed game, Minsc and a paladin wouldn't be able to use the Amulet of Power. Perhaps that's Baldurdash at work. I don't know.
But the armor thing is normal.

Aerie = cleric. Can clerics wear armour?

The amulet of power after Baldurdash can only be worn by spellcasters. Since paladin do have the power to cast spells, they can use it. Same goes for rangers, bards, multiclasses etc. However, before, a monk could wear it, but after BDash not anymore, which caused some frustration on my first solo monk project.

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up for me...

My paladin, however, cannot cast any spells at all, he's an inquisitor so his cleric spells are disabled. Minsc can, though, so I spose' that explains the amulet of power... the first time I went through the game, they couldn't wear it though! MUST be baldurdash, I think.

Didn't notice Aerie's mage spells being disabled. When imoen is equipped with armour, the box in the inventory page says "your mage spells have been disabled." it says no such thing with aerie. I'll have to double check.

Still, I don't quite get why all this is only happening now! What changed?
