trying to learn how to cheat here..

i need some help with clua thingie.. i have absoloutly no idea on how to do it.


First off, with the item upgrade mod, I have decided to upgrade some of my stuff. the only problem is that I cant seem to find some of the items Ive gotten before. I know this is stupid but im looking for 2 items here. meta-something amulet for mages and ring of protection +1 seems to be missing in my bag and stronghold and i need that badly for my item upgrade in bg2 for my good old mage. I honestly cant believe that I lost something and i have searched everywhere literally. from trademeet to waukeen promenade and talking to different merchants i have been to, i cant seem to find the amulet anymore and the merchants are not selling protection ring +1 only +2. how annoying is this?? so i have decided to cheat a little (since I just misplaced my stupid stuff)

any help would be wonderful here for a total NOOB when it comes to clua. i dont know how to activate it as well. can anyone point me in the right direction?

oh yeah, can anyone tell me where you can find the ring of fire control so i can make the ring of elemental masetery? i have found the earth and air. all i need is fire.

Ok for starters, you would have to type in the line Debug Mode=1 underneath where it says [Game Options] in the file baldur.ini, that file would be in the BG2 main directory. Then when your in game you press CTRL+SPACE to get the console up, for Items you Type CLUAConsole:CreateItem("xxx") (xxx is where you type the item code you can find those on many cheat websites. Oh and te ring of fire control is in the underdark, Western tunnles, the ones with the mindflayers in.

hey thanks for the fire control tip.. i must have missed that although unlikely since ive scoured thier tunnels..

wait.. western tunnels?? are you sure its not in the eastern portion of the underdark where you can enter the tunnels going to the mind flayers hive?

Aye, Thats where you have to go to fight that master brain thing and get those cheesey mind flayer control circulets.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but i was just wondering if there is a staff of elemental mastery in the items upgrade mod as well. Also just wondering where you can find the Staff of Earth+2

staff of the earth is in underdark with the merchant.

i actually lost my staff of air and left it in the planar prison so i cant make it . ah that sucks. so i cant make my staff of elemental.

as long as your sig is in bounderies specified in the rules and regulations. (see above top of the webpage.) i dont see why it is bad for your sig to be larger than your post unless one word.. that is spam

the fire control ring is in the mindflayer tunnels.
just south of the big brain guy is a room with 3 containers. Open them and inside one is an umberhulk, one a crazy dwarf and one a kuo toa (sp?) prince. I think the ring is on the dwarf.
