Hello
Recently I wanted to start a game with my main character being an elf paladin. Knowing that this isn't possible in the game, I figured I could do it by using shadowkeeper. But how to do this? The obvious answer would be: "create a human paladin, enter shadowkeeper, choose race and scroll down and click on elf..." However when doing this it doesn't change my appearance from human to elf, this however can also easily be corrected by shadowkeeper.. But what about the rest of the things that apply to an elf? such as +1 to longswords.. how do I make sure when changing races and classes with shadowkeeper that everything is changed as it is supposed to be? Help appreciated -Elizar

Try it the other way around.
An elven fighter with no more than two ** in weapon proficiencies and an alignment of lawful good. There are also minimum statistic requirements for paladins (charisma 17 for instance...), so you should really check the class minimums and assign your attributes accordingly. You may also need to alter the character level (ranger/paladin exp chart instead of fighter). There is also a possibiliy you may have to assign yourself a clerical spell, I can't recall offhand what level paladins gain spellcasting abilities. Good luck with it.

I'm prety sure paladins get spells at level 9. could be wrong, but i know for certain that you dont start with any if you use the default exp for start of BG2 (89,000). Assuming no TotSC that is.

I did as you said Dace, and it seems to hacve worked. As a side question.. is this class swapping thing known to increase bugs in the game? I encountered a few already in Irenicus dungeon, one being that i killd the golems in the small room, but they still attacked me later in the game with their status being "dead" witch made them immortal

Because i like playing elves, and I wanted to make a paladin Elves look much more like graceful fighters then humans, humans just look like brutes.
And I cant really see the reason elves couldn't be paladins..

Another SK trick is to change the avatar (the paperdoll). You could have a "human (brute) paladin" but use SK to change the in-game paperdoll to the Fighter Male Elf or Cleric Male Elf paperdoll, then you will look lean and graceful in the game (ignore tiny pointed ears, you'll be wearing a helmet anyway).
