I have the candle,bell and striker. gave slippers
to preist. I can do nothing at the alter. How do i make it work. Need to open Portal. HELP!!! ED |

One thing that's easy to miss is that after you give the slippers to the old Priest, you need to click on his coffin once more to find the proper verse of the Book to read (no need to write it down, but your character needs to know it before you can use the Book).

I have Chapter % Verse and all other items
but i can not make anything work. Book will not open either. realy am puzzeled. ED |

Let me just make something clear... You've gotten the chapter and verse from the lich/priest..
So what, exactly, happens when you attempt to place the bell and candle on the altar?

nothing happens-the items just go to the floor
and not the alter. so i just pick them up again. bell does not ring and candle will not light, book will not open to read. i am stuck and do not know what to do. ED |

And you are, in fact, placing them in the altar's inventory... How very strange. I suggest you get the patch and reload to an earlier point.

Make sure you actually click on the altar, don't just step in front of it and dump items out of your inventory. The altar is a container, and you can put things back in them, not only out of them. [img]smile.gif[/img]
