I just want a yes or no answer, as I've never gotten this far into the game.

Is it possible to get Yoshimo back in ToB? If 'yes,' does it matter if I drag him to spellhold or not, and does it matter if I turn his heart in?

No you can`t but his heart is useful. In Spellhold follow the dialog. Then in chapter six you get a lot of experience points.

The Spirits in your pocketplane list Yoshimo as summon you can summon, but if you attempt to summon him, it doesn't work. So no.

You can't get him back legitimately but you could probably use the CLUA console or shadowkeeper if you're really enamored with him.

Anyways, you could always justify it by creating some storyline about how giving Yoshimo's heart to Ilmater redeemed his soul and you've used a Bhaalspawn power (obviously not one granted by the actual game) to resurrect him. Why not, you can bring anyone else back -- even if they were killed.

For that matter, I've heard of people importing some of the BG1 NPC's into the game because they liked them. It's your game, do what you like.

The producers expected people to try to bypass the loss of Yoshimo...it's not legitimately possible.

There is no legitimate possibility, but you can always CLUA him in.

i've heard that you can petrify him in brynnlaw and then get him back when your done, so shouldent you be able to, just before you go to hell, petrify him within WK and then go there in ToB and get him back?

It might be possible. But IIRC that bug was fixed by one of the patches.
