Okay, I open it up. I click on a spell. What are the different effects? Where can I get the information on them?

I figured some of them out by playing around with it (look at other items, too, and see what's in each one).

Well, I'll add on some more questions: What do the different columns actually mean?

If someone could point me in the direction of a comprehensive guide to InfExplorer, it would be greatly appreciated.

There's a help manual that comes with it; read it.

http://www.idi.ntnu.no/~joh/ni/using.html for basic info. Also the sections 'menu options' and 'file types' (find them along the top of the page) offer an explanation of the interface.

For more detailed tutorials go to http://tutorials.teambg.net/

Shamrock, that's Near Infinity, which is a lil' bit different.

Infinity Explorer information is here. The FAQ there should tell all, as well as the InfExp readme.
