There is a rather annoying bug problem with my game.
Everytime I travel anywhere in Athkatla, it takes 0 hours. But if I travel to the bridge district and then try to travel anywhere else in the city it takes 16 hours. Travelling to the D'Arnise keep from the bridge district takes 20 hours as it normally does. However the return journey to the bridge district takes only *8* hours, while anywhere else in the city is 24, and as I said on that travel 8 + 16 = 24 anyway. I have reloaded and checked everything. I have the Darkest Day Mod and the Banter pack mod installed... but other than that nothing else. When I first started the Darkest Day I never experienced this problem, however over the past week I have noticed it. Which seriously hampers quests ... especially thoe that need to take place at night. Thus travelling to the bridge district to start a quest takes no time, while travelling back takes several gameplay hours.. which often costs me more time as my party becomes fatigued through the travel time also. Harumph. Anyone experienced this bug? OR know how to deal with it? -Odruith |

Try installling the bg2 patch and baldursdash.

Ah with the Darkest Day, it gives the Baldurash fix-pack as a pre-requisite. I also have the patch installed
Order was SofA Patch Darkest Day Darkest day Patch For the first 2 weeks of play it was fine. I started a new game and now.. harumph. The bug is starting to mess up my games. I may have to re-install.. |

maybe they are jogging from place to place j/k =P .. or it would depend on their fatigue maybe? if you haven't slept for a few days perhaps?

Nope.
It's the travel times. If I travel to.. the Slums persay from the city gates of Athkatla, it gives the line 'The Journey took 16 hours' or however it goes exactly. And I've found that if I travel to and from the bridge district at least twice, my party becomes fatigued even if they had rested immediately before hand. I had to end up deleting one of my saved games as I ended up at 28 + days without having even started chapter 4.. which was somewhat frustrating considering much of that was 24-36 hours back to Athkatla due to the bug. It never used to happen. Until about 2 weeks ago .. I really don't know what caused the bug. |

[img]graemlins/offtopic.gif[/img] I once had a annoying problem...I had ToB, fully patched + Baldurs Dash..then I uninstalled it and installed SoA only, also fully patched + Baldurs Dash. The thing is, when I loaded my file in chapter 3, my rep got set to 10 =/....just wanted to say it ;D

I believe the travel times changes were incorperated by TDD.

You know, now I don't feel so bad leaving the Docks late in the game in broad daylight, then getting to my destination and having it be the middle of the night.
If you've played that far, you all know what I'm talking about. So much for a tactical advantage...

Auch. I'm really not sure. I re-installed yesterday, the whole thing including patch, tdd and tdd's patch... and it is still doing the same thing. Oh well... I guess I can play around it. ZSAll I need to do is speak to Delon, Nalia and others before heading there so that I can do Trademeet, fighter stronghold and Umar hills quests one by one, only travelling back to the city when need be....it's a little annoying considering I may need to do other things.
I'll try the Darkest Day forums to see if perhaps they bring out another patch to fix this bug... or perhaps to see if anyone knows how to get rid of it without a patch |

IIRC TDD always had issues with movement times but never found them significant enough to justify the time it would take to fix them- apparently they're a royal pain to fix.
