I have Aerie as my mage in my Party. I always take her when I play Good. The other night I equipped her with a shield and a magic helmet, thus lowering her Ac a little. However I noticed that she could still cast Mage spells. I realize she is dual class Cleric/Mage but I thought no mage could cast spells if armoured in any way except robes? So my question is this; " is Aerie suffering any penalties while wearing a Shield and Helm?, if so what are they?" I cant see any loss of spells or abilities when I look at her stats & Spell screens. This also bothers me as I have never tried this before, 3rd time playing, so I'm thinking I should kick myself in the Backside for being obtuse.... Any answers would be appreciated thanks.....

Only body armour will affect Aerie's spellcasting in the Mage department. Not very sure about Gauntlets.
