help!!!

ahh help me please, im trying to install my ToB game over bg2 SoA and an error comes up during the instalation

it says: component: required data
file group: minimum_25_data
file: d:\data2.cab
error: incorrect function

this error bar comes up at 61% install, when the file being installed is: data\251WAnim.bif

please help me! any help would be very kind

what operating system are you running?
possibly a WINXP problem.

its windows 2000 professional (sp?)

icewind dale 2 and bg2 work, im just surprised that this one doesnt

Almost certainly a corrupt file on your CD 2.

i.e. data2.cab

You can test this theory out by simply trying to grab the data2.cab file from your CD onto your hard drive.

If it is corrupted, let us know. We are a smart bunch and there are ways and means...

ok i just copied it to my C: drive but nothing unexpected comes up... how do i find out wether is it corrupted or not? should i check my drive for errors or what? i cant just copy the cd onto my pc and install it from there can i??
