Please help me configure a new party

I have decided to start from the beginning (after playing all of the BG series), and this time, I have started out as a pure Elven mage.
I only want mages and clerics in my party because I have a tendancy to just use brute strength to win games.
Now, I want to focus on the arts. Who are some good party members? Note, I am keeping Imoen.

Branwen is pretty good if u give her gauntlets of ogre strength.

Consider Dynaheir as a good one too. All u do is kill Minsc, and he is out of the way. Or just Throw minsc out in a place you'll never go again, and quicly run out of the area. But one word of advice. An all mage and cleric party is very expensive in money, for think of all the scrolls u buy. Also, you must have a lot of protection, but i wish u good luck.

You're almost certainly going to need Tiax while Imoen is dualing. I would choose Branwen over Yeslick, but if you're doing all spellcasters, take both--you'll need 'em. I would build this:

you
Imoen
Branwen
Xan or Dynaheir, depending on which Archmagi Robe you can wear
Yeslick or Jaheira
Tiax

Shadow Armor: 7875 gp
Slipping an Oil of Firey Burning down the back of Sarevok's armor: Priceless

You'll need a neutral party if you have both Tiax and Imoen in one group...
I don't have much to add, just that I didn't like Xan very much, however he was my only mage - if you have more mages, it should work.

You can also choose Edwin if you want, but that means you'll also have to drop Yeslick (only one pair of Gauntlets of Dexterity). Also, I forgot Faldorn. I don't like her voice, but she's a way better Druid than Jaheira.

so your gonna go through the game with out any fighters or rangers? wow...lol thats gonna take some time i guess, the last fight with Sarevok is going to be brutal...
if your seriously going to do that...you might consider Edwin maybe...i'm not too fond of Xan, he sounds like a priss to me,

worst part about it...my char. started with 4 hp, and is nothing but a pansy...

the way i see it, its more fun and satisfying when you go through the game without cheating...but if your stuck in the same place for a while....maybe its needed...so i wish you the best of luck, and have fun!

Hmm. A neat idea. Why not try it with all the pure spellcasting classes?

Or play a solo game in multiplayer mode and create your own party along similar lines.
