Monk and Mage?

Is it possible to dual class a monk into a mage?
I'm sure i did a kensai and mage...

AFAIK the monk is an impossible monk to dual class

Yep, you can't dual any of the new classes in BG2 - barbarian, monk, sorcerer.
Think of the powergaming if you could dual a sorcerer!

Nastiest brute-force combo: Multiclassed Kensai/Swashbuckler.
Full Plate + Kensai AC bonuses + Swashbuckler AC bonuses.
Warrior ApR + Kensai THAC0 bonuses + Swashbuckler THAC0 bonuses.
Warrior hitpoints, Warrior Saving Throws. Ouch!!!

Sure but it`s cheating. And I do not resort to cheating. Altough i would solo this combo some day...
