Edwins quest

I've searched the old posts, and haven't been able to find a definite answer about this, but it says that, for the nether scroll quest, if you declare the scroll "party treasure" or somthing like that, the quest is ruined. I'm guessing that's what I said, and I've never had edwin in my party before, and was hoping to complete this quest. Is there any way to fix it? I read that the patch only helps if you haven't started the quest yet. Is there a way to just reset the local and global variables so that nothing at all has happened?

can u actually get the scroll without edwin? Im not sure about your question, have u definately got it?

I believe that, if you've installed the BaldurDash patch (which you should have done anyway), then it doesn't matter if you say the "party treasure" line or not--both dialogue options will allow the quest to continue.

And even if his quest doesn't go on, you won't be missing much in terms of spells, items or EXP. It is very fun, though, but that just gives you incentive to try it again, the next time you take Edwin in your party.

Strange, if i remeber correctly, i once claimed it party treasure, but it had no effect on the result of it.
I mean, Edwin doesn´t really care if it´s party treasure or not, he is the one to carry it, study it etc. anyway...
And i had no mods that time.

I have already passed the point where we have obtained the scroll, and i do have it, however, i said the wrong thing. Would it be possible with the CLUA console to reset the global or local settings, even if I just could restart the conversation with edwin after obtaining the scroll. I don't even know if that's possible or not.

you can get the whole Baldurdash pack at www.baldurdash.org or only the Edwin Nether scroll fix (same place)
This CAN be fixed by changing a variable but I don't quite remember which one.
My advice would be to
(0.Download Shadowkeeper if you don't already have it)
1. Open your game with Shadowkeeper
2. Look into the Global variables on anything that starts with EDWIN
3. Try to figure out which variable it is and set it to the opposite value it has now)

As a matter of curiosity, is there any way to decipher the various scripts and global settings that control the quests, if you don't have shadow keeper?
