If you want a legit and very easy way to kill dragons, for example kill Firkraag with quite sucky-party/low lvl party, then this is what you should do: As we all know the most of the dragons in the game are not hostile until you are.

How to slay: Have all your party attack the dragon while having 1 of your party members to initiate dialogue with the creature, NOTICE:Have that party member away from the dragon but press the dialogue button on him as if you are gonna speak to him, while he is standing there and is ready to have a dialogue with you he will not even attack the rest of the group that are about to slay him. So basicly all you need is to 1 person to keep running around and *Pressing the dialogue button on dragon*

err... "fake talk" is actually quite famous.

I wouldn't call it "legit" and I thought newer patch has fixed this? anyway, I heard that fake talk wouldn't work if you play ToB.

LOL!!!!!

Isn't the easiest way just to use lower resistance/greater malison/doom and then cast more offensive spells? The other cheesy way is to cast cloud kills from just beyond the dragons sight.

Cheers,

As moiraine stated it is easy if you use legitimate spell casting methods such as those mentioned in the above post. The cheasy method of his magic resistence lowering assault is to cast magic resistence (the buffer spell) to actually set the dragons magic resistence to a lower level. Since the spell doesn't make him aggresive it's a really strong cheese. Also the ultimate anti dragon cheese is indeed the cloudkill method. I am an experienced user of almost all forms of dragon killing cheese; save the double talk method.

I think the Feeblemind approach is even (ch)easier. Just cast 1 Magic Resistance followed by Feeblemind. You may have to re-load a few because he will turn hostile if the Feeblemind fails. One it takes effect, however, he will simply sit there while the party hacks him into little Draco-Bits.

I've always liked MR + Harm if your spellcaster can cast 6th lvl spells (IIRC 12th lvl) and then snipe and cloudkill

Well, some people here actually want to defeat dragons in serious combat, not in a sissy/wimpy kinda way...

And doesn't anyone use vorpal blades anymore? It's like "Faerūn-Roulette" to the max
