My party was venturing thorugh the sewers(helping Roger the Fence ) and suddenly a Beholder Dimension-ed door-ed in. Huh?
Of course,he died...

I don't have a clue why he's there, but all sorts of conspiracy theories creep into my mind; the most likely is that he's a 'buddy' of the Unseeing Eye.

Maybe he lost his glasses in the rush to get back to the Unseeing Eye's lair, and came back to look for them?

How does a beholder cast dimension door anyway? No hands to make spell-making hand gestures, and I've never heard a beholder speak.

Heh, Beholders don't need to use hand movements to cast Dimension Door like they don't need it to cast the other ten dozen spells they normally throw at you. Beholders don't speak anyway, they communicate telepathicly.

Maybe it was the Spectator who just wanted to drop by for a friendly visit?

Anyhow, which mods do you have installed?

It is not part of any mods. If your party is sufficiently high-level enough, a Beholder will spawn in the southern-west area of the Temple Sewers. If your level is low, it will be a Mustard Jelly.
