Apart from the Ankheg Farm (which, by the way, never seems to run out of them, at least not as far as I know) and the one in the Wyrm's Crossing (Baldur's Gate Bridge) sector, where else have you seen 'em? I've killed one in the canyons by Gullykin, and another in the map with the backdoor from the Nashkel Mines.

Early on in the game, I always use the one by the back door to Nashkel mines. Sometimes they just don't show. I think it is one of the best outdoor areas. Lots of good action and some great stuff. I forget where; but, isn't there a guy who calls them his pets and sicks them on you? I may be wrong; so, let me know.

I think you mean basilisks and crazy gnome, or another one - jellys creator?
Coming back to Ankhegs there is one lets call him master of Ankhegs in one of ToSC quests.

Telchar, its the south-western area in the general map. You can get there exiting from the "back passage" of Nashkell mines. Its good to go there when you exit the mines coz youve got loads of xp and good items (though fights are difficult too). There are 3 great fights in that map, all of them with good rewards.

Narcillius Harwillinger Neen! "Come, jellies, let us make our mark upon the world!" Yeah, nice mark--a big, red SPLAT after my Cleric clubs you. Cool name, though. I wish I could make my main character's name that long.

The Revenant kicked my ass the first time, so I thought that was the wrong way to do it. "900 Exp. just for watching him die? Neat!" Then I missed the dagger. DOH! Reload.

I wish they'd named one of the Amazon girls Kournikova, just to see how many guys were reluctant to kill her....
