Can someone please post a list of the NPC's in the original game that have the most banters? This will help me choose my next party, as I like interactions...

Jan Jansen talks a lot, and it is sometimes funny. Other than that, I can't really think of anyone I used that talks a lot.

Well, if you're in a romance or want to romance somebody, Aerie, Jaheira, and Viconia all have a lot of banter. Umm... Yoshimo also has a fair amount, as well as Anomen.

Minsc has some banters with some of the other characters, as does Jan Jansen. Any romance you have will also have banters with you, of course. The others give a fair amount of banters, depending on the other characters in your party. For extra banters, mix alignments, but be careful of conflict.

Does Haer Dalis talk a lot? I have never used him, but I think I heard somewhere that he talks a lot.

Korgan and Cernd talk a lot...Korgan always calls Cernd a tree-hugger then Jaheira gets all defensive...its a great 2 on 1 battle

Well, judging by their dialogues files and from personal experience:

Some possible tiny spoilers ahead...

OK. With the 'all romances patch', you'll want:
You
Jaheira (romance)
Aerie (romance)
Viconia (romance)
Anomen (romance)
Jan (who else?) / Haer'Dalis (for the Aeire romance triangle)

Without it, though, you'll want:
You
Yoshimo->Imoen (mucho dialogue - and even more if you have ToB)
Jaheira (biggest romace)
Anomen (for the Jan dialogues)
Jan (who else?

Although not banter as such, Korgan and Jaheira have a lot of competitive interjections about quests and such, where one will comment and the other retort.
