Hello! Can you give me an advice for a new party? Please? I wrote the party down on he paper:

Barbarian
Kensai
Sorcerer
Cleric/Thief

Now the problem is that non of these characters(except Sorcerer) cannot protectc themself with Stoneskins etc.

I would probably be a Kensai(never played one).

What do you say?

You could dual a mage to whatever you want. I never dual from a mage because I want the full firepower but thinking of it it would be nice. Cast stoneskin and put on Platemail afterwards .

You are talking about Kensai->Mage do you?
But then I rather choose F/M-Multi-Class

do you want more of a spellcasting party or a tanking party? anyway, i would probably choose to add(though that party already has all it needs) a druid(who can protect himself with ironskins and has the insect spells which are devestating against spell casters) and perhaps a swashbuckler, whom can become an excellent tank at later levels, and then with 2 thieves, you could divide the skill points so that the swashbuckler could like have points in detect illusions(excellent skill), set traps and pick pockets while your multi classed thief could have points in HiS, MS, OL, FT so he could, among others, backstab. well, thats my suggestion.

ooh - my favourite work activity

i like the group size

all the major bases covered obviously

early AC might be limited with your fighters' armour restrictions but, on reflection, the cleric/thief could actually be good as your main tank - especially if you're not going to be using him/her for stealth so much - what with any armour and cleric buffs and gnome(?) bonuses

you lack an obvious bow&arrow archer

if you weren't majoring around the kensai i'd say drop him for a bard and make it a near-classical barbarian-centred group

barbarian (beat-em-up hero)
thief side-kick (who heals in this case)
bard (to record your exploits and get in trouble)
girl (sorcerer )

Actually, the group does NOT lack an archer... the Kensai is a highly capable ranged attacker using thrown weapons. Just throw two proficiency slots in dagger or axe (you probably know what items I'm talking about)... a third in single weapon style if you want extra critical hits. And, as someone pointed out, the Cleric/Thief can tank pretty well along with the Barbarian until the Kensai gets better AC modifying items.
