PC(F/Mage) Neutral Good. Keldorn(fits all my plans in every situation, great dispel and crossbow abilities) Minsc (he is a funny man, User of Vorpal Sword and back up Archer) Sir Anomen(working great with Keldorn, party's buffer and nice macer) Imoen(good mage plus detects everything and user of Gesen's Bow) Jaheira(I cant kick her out...We love eachother ) So....Whats your opinions guys, what should i do??

So you do not need Sarevok. So let us see. You have: F/M-Tank and backup mage Keldorn-Tank number 2,Dispel Magic twice his level and True Sight is very important versus certain Dragon Minsc-Backup Archer, before doing Vorpal Slauthger throw in soem Greater Malison Imoen-Main Mage, with ToB HLAs she is very good Jaheira-excellent backup tank, she has some nice HLAs,Ironskins Anomen-killer of the Undead, buffer and now and then a Tank. So I repeat:you do not need Sarevok. But it is your call [ 06-13-2003, 09:47 AM: Message edited by: Xen ] |

Sarevok would most easily replace Minsc, but the only really interesting things about him is his nifty ability and his dual options.
You don't really get to see any of his personality.

I would probably get rid of Minsc too if you really want Sarevok in your party. But I agree wholeheartedly with the other two: with this party you don't need an extra tank. The only nifty thing that I've discovered about Sarevok is his Deathbringer Assault (which is a randomly based attack that happens every once in a while).. pretty devestating for an enemy.
Furthermore there's nothing special about him. He *is* the best fighter in the game, that's a given, but with this party he isn't necessary.

If we talk of what you need to finish the game - well you're enough - as a mage you need nobody else. Of course this may be a little boring. I never played with Anomen, but the others in your party I know them well. By the way, the one who you wanna take is evil and there will be confrontations. My party was the same when I rolled the game for second time, but with two differences - the pc was sorcerer and I had Aerie instead of Anomen.
Replace Anomen. If you wanna make the game more chalenging remove Keldorn and Jaheira - you know they can kill anyone with a single hit (first Jaheira (one hit), next Keldorn (one hit) ). Have a nice gaming |

Or you could make your decision based on roleplaying terms (as opposed to powergaming). If you're NG in a predominantly good party, is there really any room for Sarevok? Unless, perhaps, you want him to change his evil ways...
I've recently carried over a solo kensai/mage (NE) into ToB and picked up Sarevok for the first time. I didn't really need any extra help but the thought of two evil bhaalspawn brothers swathing their way through Tethur was too good (or too evil? ) to resist. And Deathbringer Assault rocks!!

The best mage in TOB is easily Edwin if you get him in the pocket plane. So i would dump Nalia and get Edwin, but then you nedd a thief which is ere jan comes in dump imoen for him he can use the geasine even better and hes a way better theif which is how i wuld use him if u have edwin or even decide to stick to Nalia whos not to shabby.

bleh! I kicked out Jaheira since i had Anomen. Besides Jaheira romance got stuck somewhere in my game and that royally anoyed me for a week of trying to fix is.
"trading" minsc for sarevok to me means your going to destroy the sword coast in a fit of blood and glory. keeping minsc and adding sarevok sort of balances out sarevoks evilness. |

I passed on Sarevok because because I've got Korgan, who's evil, plus right now he's got 20 strength, -10 AC, -5 THACO, and has the power attack. Fighting next to my monk (21/-9/-7), that's quite a one-two punch. Plus he's so witty ('...and then I'd split yer gut open, heh-heh').
